"custom tuner edition" ILX
Doesn't "Tuner" implied they actually you know, tuned the engine?
All I see is suspension, a wrap, wheels, brakes, and an expensive detail job. Is that what constitutes tuning nowadays?!
ALERT IMPORT TUNER!!

Honestly man I have zero against vossen. I had issue with them when they were not certified safe. They have since been TUV certified and I have nothing left to say on the quality of wheels they make. Good for them. I wont ever own a set. And god damn it I think the Work/Vossen collab was a money grab for the new Work CEO. But to each their own.
My issue with this ILX reflects exactly what Thoiboi said. Nothing "tuner" about it.
They list the brakes twice showing the front verse rear to make the list of mods look longer. They dont even say what Falkens are on the car. I can attest that some Falkens are shit. Chances are those are.
I do love the decals on the side skirts though. ImportFest, Vossen, NeoMotorsports, Sekanskin, and WheelSCO. Im sure each provided 5 HP. All laid over a sweet CF wrap.
Would look much better with color matched BBK IMO.
And you you want to up the wheel size from 19 to 20... So you'd think wheel choice would be easier... Either way, looks like you may need to get custom three piece wheels, so you can get exactly what you want, in terms of wheel width and offset.
Hey, you got the baller car, you need the baller money to mod it now. No more cheap thrills when you move up in the car world. Are there particular wheels or wheel brands you're interested in?

that's my biggest problem Adam, I'm not willing to pay custom sized baller wheel pricing...
I wanna keep the smooth ride so I kinda wanna keep the 19"...
and my oem wheels are forged and obviously fit the car well...
fuck it, gonna just fix my wheels.

Sadly, your cheapest bet would be to wait for another Vagon owner to sell off their wheels. That'll suck having to wait for the right wheel to show up.
I know it isn't ideal, but if the offsets are that big of a bitch, would you consider running a small spacer to make up whatever difference/issue you have? Just curious.

It's not that far fetched... We had the CSX-S here in Canada. A car the US didn't even get... It was a fun little car (aka souped up civic) to bomb around in. Almost bought one, 3-4 years ago.
Why not, put the Civic Si motor in the ILX and wala.. ILX Type S. Just like the 80's to early 2000's Civic Si - Acura GSR/RSX
That's exactly what the CSX-S was.
it was a 4 door civic, with JDM head and tail lights, plus the k20 Si engine, mated to a 6MT LSD transmission.
doesnt the ilx have the same Si engine in it already? I thought it was pushing 200ish hp

It does have the same engine (probably different version) not really sure. I was thinking more of the boosted Si engines.
And, "tuners" would know that less mass = more good. 19s on this car is silly...purely cosmetic and detrimental to actual performance. Running shoes do not a marathoner make...

this is a show car and nothing else.
if it were set up as a race car, i'd like it more.

I actually really love a guy named dookie!
if it was set up like a racecar it would have a higher output engine!
FUEL ECONOMY AND RACING don't go hand in hand unless Tesla

well.. I just mean that the dealership is probably making a killing on the work done to the car. I have a feeling one would be able to do the same stuff for cheaper, as opposed through the dealer.
