Cannot remove rear brake caliper
Cannot remove rear brake caliper
Is there a trick to removing the rear caliper on a 2016 ILX? Normally, a caliper will just slide off pads after removing the bolts, but it is hanging on something.
I found info on the RDX's pads having clips (or something) on the back of the pads going into the caliper piston (makes hard to remove), but I cannot find any reference to the ILX having these.
Thanks!

Hmmmmm.... There could be locking clips, but that is not necessarily normal for Honda/Acura's. It may just be dirt/dust/sludge that is keeping it in place - It is hard to comment without looking at pictures - I had replaced my rear pads in my 2013 ILX and did not notice any issues.
Try using a flat head screwdriver and gently try to push the pads off of the tension clips?
