Cool Brake Rotors

Hey guys.

So after a few very spirited canyon runs, I realized that the rotors NEED to be upgraded to cross drilled/slotted.
Way too much brake fade with the stock ones. At one point it took almost 75ft to stop from about 20mph.

So:

StopTech or PowerStop.

Thanks in advance

rotors, especially drilled rotors will not help brake fade...

in addition; drilled rotors will crack.

changing the brake lines from a rubber line to a steel line will help fade.
a better pad will help fade.
a better fluid will help fade

Also, Centric is the parent company to stoptech and powerslot.
stoptech is the main brand, while powerslot is the sister...
so, you cant go wrong when choosing either stoptech or powerslot, as they both come from the same company

the only time a rotor will help with brake fade is when you go to a larger diameter rotor.

Brake fade happens when the rotors/pads get too hot and cause the pads to become soft. I agree with the brake lines, that would help. But the main cause is the rotor/pad. I've ran cross drilled on almost all of my previous cars and never had one crack.

As to the brands I asked about earlier, if you read closely enough, it says PowerStop not PowerSlot. Two very different companies.

I've had experience with StopTech in the past, curious about the Powerstop's.

^sounds like you know what youre doing.

as you know, any pad/rotor will stop the car.
so, hurry up and modify what you already know!!

there wouldnt be a difference between the rotors anyway...most of the blanks come from Centric. and Im betting "powerstop" gets their blanks from Centric.
