Anyone else running android 4.4.2?

Just did a system update on my note 3 and notice my text msg function no longer works on my 2.4.

Anyone else experience this?
If I click phone, im no longer even able to access text msgs.

I have tried to unpair and repair my phone. No luck.

Been running Android 4.4.2 on my Nexus 5 since I purchased it last November. Works just fine with my ILX text messaging sync.

I did the update on my LG G2 and it worked just fine afterwards. Although the first time I connected after the update the phone asked me if I wanted to allow the bluetooth device (ILX) to access my messages. I just responded yes.....and no problems yet. The only problem I have is that Pandora will not auto-start like before. I have to physically turn on or press play on Pandora via the phone everytime I get in the car. I'm still looking for a fix to that.

Do you know where you can adjust that in the settings?

Go into settings. Then, go into your Bluetooth setting. Then, under Paired Devices, click on the settings of your Bluetooth device (HandsFreeLink). Then, you should see three options (Audio, Media, and Messages), make sure they are all check-marked as being on.

Note: Make sure you're phone is connected to ILX when you do this procedure, if not connected, you won't get all the above settings for some reason.

Hope this helps.

On a different topic...iPhone users feel gutted that they cannot respond to texts or use the SMS feature, including myself. Even more demoralizing, iPhone users, along with Base owners, are ineligible to even use the Siri Eyes features. Rant over...

Text messaging is working fine for me, I have a Samsung S4 on 4.4.2. Maybe delete pair from radio and phone and try again?

Have the same problem with music on my phone via Bluetooth. I have to hit the setup button on the radio and select pause/resume for it to start playing. Sometimes it will auto play but most of the time it won't and have to select pause/resume. At least with that I don't have to get my phone out.

weird. So I called samsung support and they are unsure either.

Maybe it's just a note 3 issue? Altough that sounds weird...

Is there a updated in the ILX's CPU maybe that needs an update? I purchased my ILX in November of 2012 so it is one of the earliest models.

try pairing another device to the ilx, if the sms works the problem is most likely the note.

I have to purchase a new phone and I'm wondering if there is one particular brand or model of phone that works better with the ILX than the rest? Any suggestions?

The most consistent experience is with an iPhone. I know people love to hate them but there NO variance in your experience with this vs. Android. Text message functionality (through the Acura interface) is not supported through the car, but you could use Siri Eyes Free to read and respond to messages so no loss.

I had a Samsung Galaxy II but it didn't stay synced. Every time I got into the car I had to delete the phone and reconnect. I simply want a phone that will work every time and all functions will operate as they are designed to do.

Yeah, when plugged in with the dock connector you will get an "Accessory" screen locking out a lot functionality. My solution is to play audio through Bluetooth and plug in via cigarette adapter if I need a little power.

Incoming Calls

So I am also running Android 4.4.2 and every time I go to answer a phone call through the Bluetooth in my ilx it automatically transfers it to my phone. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it ?

Re-paired my phone and now I get text messages again, but it's delayed by like 10-20 seconds. Better late than never I suppose, but I'll let the dealer know the next time I swing by the dealership.
