Does anyone know if the matte chrome mirror covers for the 2016 ILX will fit older models? I have a 2014 and think they would look awesome, but I'm not sure they will fit. Has anyone done this already?

 

The mirror covers were actually introduced with the 2017 ILX. Some people were asking if they would fit on the 2016 model, which I'm guessing would be fine. But I'm not sure about pre-2016.

 

thats not true... I have a 2016 accessories brochure and it's in there... And they are same mirrors.. go to the dealer and look at the other ILX's .. i'ts the same mirror, don't overthink it... Go on google and look at the mirrors online... they're the same thing man...

 

but do you have a pre-2016 brochure with the accessory on it?

No it came out it 2016 with the facelift... I actually really have been going to the dealer just to steal accessory catalogs... haha ... so yes, I actually DO....they don't even actually carry them at most dealers anymore... because they have to pay for them... and they would rather just tell you to look online... OR... look at the big official dealer owned books during the car sale to push accessories on you.... As well the Canadian market has a few extra accessories... they have a Front hood deflector/ protector...they have a trunk protector pull out mat thing.... they have a a nice seat cover/ protector option, looks leather-ish has big Acura Logo... Because I guess the lowest trim actually does have cloth seats in Canada... I'm actually ordering the Deflector from Canada... I just really lagged it on the Canadian Dealer I talked with....

 

And you Americans have the sunshade that is only offered in the US so it goes both ways

Any Canadians have any luck sourcing the official Acura sunshade in the US accessory book? My dealer couldnt find it in their system at all.

 

any info or pics on the trunk protector pull out mat? I might be interested if it looks good. I understand of course, that I'd have to source it from a Canadian dealer.

 

Well I finally got around to purchasing some of the matte chrome covers for my ilx.

 

Looks great, only if our moldings were the same matte silver.

 

If only! I think the matte chrome looks a lot more upscale. I also added piano black door molding to my car and when paired with the mirrors my car looks twice as expensive as before.

 

The piano black door molding and chrome side mirror look awesome. I might buy the chrome side mirrors.

 

Were the b pillar moldings a wrap or a plastic add on? I wrapped mine gloss black years ago and loved the way they turned out. You could probably just wrap the mirrors and window trim in the same matte chrome so they match.

 

The b pillars are just plastic add ons. I tried wrapping them with little success.

 

Where did you get the plastic add on?
