2016 ILX navigation on screen?

How do I accomplish this? Other people’s cars seems to have the navigation as an option on the screen, I do not. I’ve been blue tooth my phone with google maps. It sucks. I hate Acura link but only see a recall nothing else about apps or anything. Do I need an HDMI to get navigation on screen?? Why isn’t that there already? What am I missing? And what’s the HDMI port for? If I HDMI a movie from my phone will it play on the screen? Just frustrated that a simple navigation option isn’t here for me on screen.

Does your car have the Technology Plus Package? Far as I know, that's the only way to get factory navigation on the 2016-18 ILX.

Tech package includes navigation. Base and premium do not. On the premium, there is an HDMI port to somehow mirror a navigation map using your phone. But you have to get a special cable and the mobile app. I've never used it but I've it's clunky and doesn't work well.

yea it’s premium a spec. Is there a way to upgrade the software or would a whole new system need installed? I’d just like to see more than who’s playing on the radio on my screen so I don’t have to look down at my phone

So what’s the HDMI port for? Also is it possible to upgrade the system or would that require installing new hardware as opposed to upgrading software?

Read my comment about the HDMI port.

And no, there is no easy way to get navigation if you don't have it. If it was important to you, you should have bought the Tech trim. If you really want it, it would be cheaper to sell your car and buy a Tech trim rather than change all the necessary hardware.

hihihi! I'm laugh but in french, I do not know if this is good in english. I'm yellow laugh. Because I get surprise like you. In 2016 car, where you see HDMI, 2 screens on the panel, and can I add, some watch at 50$ have videos on it, .... And yes, or no, it can't handle a simple navigation...hahahaha!
This is a close environnement. Old style way.

And like others said, better to sell your car then trying to change all this.

Sidenote, my custom cheap solution is now to put my big phone above the top screen, have a similar feeling of having a regular google map integrated...

hahaha! lol! still laughing. This is so funny

Yep, there is a cost increase for the pinched H logo.
I had just moved to a new city so I got the Tech Plus A Spec.
