Wondering if those that have driven both the 2016 and the 2013-2015 can chime in on whether the cabin did get quieter, specifically road & wind noise. If so, is it a substantial difference?

I did do a search (both via google and in azine), but comments seems to be mixed. Many official reviews mostly say it did get quieter, but there are also some reviews & individuals that did comment on how the difference is marginal or even non existent.

Looking at either the 13-15 6MT or the 2016. Either would likely be a huge improvement over my current and previous vehicles, as they are all more on the visceral side (civic si, miata, etc), but these days I want something quieter & more daily-able, yet still fun. Must be getting old.

Probably different reviews or experiences because the motors and wheels are so different. Would depend what 2013-2015 trim they drove and are comparing to the new 2016.

Bigger wheels tend to give a more road noise.

A hybrid motor or the R20 is a lot quieter then the k24. So It would be fair to say that the 13-15 6mt is going to be louder, especially if you step on it a little, which you will. Its going to be quieter then any SI you've been in tho.

If you compare the hybrid trim/engine, it also has smaller 16 inch wheels, it's probably quieter then the new k24 with 18inch wheels.

R20 trim has 17's, probably about the same as the louder 2016 k24 with 18 inch wheels, even if the 2016 has some noise blocking improvements.
