2016 ILX hitting dealers Feb. 10

I think you have to follow the angled line upwards and to the right.
See how the Base+Acura Watch is separate from that line? I don't think the Premium Trim has the Acura Watch suite of features.
Although - the Tech trim on the current ILX doesn't really offer that much over the Premium OTHER than NAVI, Acuralink and ELS.
I will say that the standard equipment levels have really gone up.
Maybe the Acura Watch package will be a dealer installed option for the Premium trim? Is that even possible?

Base gets AcuraWatch and the premium trim equivalent of AcuraWatch is the Tech Package. There are a few extras thrown in, so they can't call it the same thing. Ventilated seats, parking sensors, standard remote start, etc. would have been nice to make the Tech more exclusive.
I also wonder if Acura is starting to drop the "Advance" trim language based on this. Or maybe, the ILX is not advanced enough for it haha.

Edit: I'm changing my mind on this...

Went to my local dealer today, they said the 2016 ILXs would be there in a week or two and that they had ordered them, but the salesman I talked to seemed not to know much. (Located in southern PA)-
They had 7 2015 ILXs left on the lot, and in the showroom was a 2015 2.0 base that was offered at $23,900. What a discount!

Really looking forward to this. With just a few changes, they've really done a great job at making the ILX a very compelling package. I think I'll head to the dealer for a test drive when they become available.

I think the way to interpret it is:

Official Acura Spec Sheet up:
Acura | Press Releases Article | Acura.com
As you can see, BLIS is only for Premium and Tech. Not AcuraWatch. Super dumb.

Also, it does look like Premium gets Acura Watch standard. The wording in the feature walk:
"When added to ILX, with Premium and with Tech Plus"

Not if you're tying to sell Premiums vs base models. It is consistent with the TLX (go to Tech for BLIS), and I belive 2016 MDX (and current MDX). Two things come to mind: 1) The system must be somewhat expensive to implement and 2) it's not required by IIHS for Top Pick + status. I'd bet that in 2-3 years that will change.

I'm not worried about the base model, I think it'll be the best equipped "base" model in the segment. I'll be the advertising leader and expect it to be the best seller. The TLX has shown that many don't care about leatherette either. BUT it is going to confuse a lot of people. I can think of three in our store that will be lost for a year unless they figure out a way to clarify things better.

... Aaaand we're wrong again. Premium does not include AcuraWatch per the "Features" page on Acura.com. Also, it does seem that the headlights are using LEDs across the board "ten separate LED lamps..."

They certainly can't lie on the website though!

I guess that makes sense based on the price of the Premium only being $700 more than the Base with AcuraWatch.

The premium has everything the base+acura watch plus etc

I remember acura said that acura watch will be available on all model of the ilx including the base. And that only means the premium includes acura watch. No way in hell I am going to pay 30,800 for a premium without acura watch when the tlx is 32,500.

I'm sure that Acura wil add a Base +AcuraWatch trim for the i4 TLX right?

Probably, I am really hoping for a Tech+AcuraWatch trim on the i4 to more closely mimic an i4 Advance trim TLX

I don't need all that safety stuff since this car will be my working car. One of my main concern is safety, since smaller car tend to do poor when hitting bigger car and living in Texas everyione drive a huge truck or suv. The civic has one of the highest death rate vs tl which was one of the lowest.( don't have any stats on the ilx) but the car is base on the civic.

I've been trying to figure out how to frame all of this information. I suppose it boils down to this. A base model plus Acura Watch is roughly the same price as a Premium Package. The customer can choose if they prioritize safety content or luxury content. If they require both safety and luxury they can choose the Tech Package. Fortunately, the price gaps are relatively small amongst these models.
