Hey guys, so I bought my '13 ILX pretty much right when they came out in '12. It's a fantastic car, but I've had one issue with it that I can't seem to get past. It started in probably late 2013 when it got cold. I noticed that if I listened to bass heavy music, I would get a bit of a rattle on the rear deck, which didn't bother me TOO much, until it warmed up and got WAY worse. At it's worst it's pretty much listening to anything that activates the sub, Skrillex drops the beat? Huge rattle. A bit of Flea playing the bass? Huge rattle. Even a deep voice on NPR rattles it. So I did a temporary fix, and threw a scarf tightly tucked between the glass and plastic cover at the rear window, that fixed it completely. Eventually, I took it into the dealer and they 'fixed' it, that was about a year ago, and last week it came back worse than ever. Last night it was to the point that I could drive over a slight bump and it would rattle. I can't stand it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone actually fixed it? If so what was your fix?
That is a video showing what I'm talking about that I took in the crappy light last night. As you can see, it doesn't even really need to be that loud to reproduce. With the volume at 18, it's intolerable. I feel like, sure maybe at 35, or 40, I might expect a BIT of rattle from the door handles/buttons, but 18, from the back window? In an Acura with ELS sound? That just doesn't seem right to me.
Let me know what you think.

^ Yes, he's right, although many times you can get away with some black weather stripping from home depot or lowes, and apply it tightly in the back corner by the window. Originally you have weather stripping there, but over time that can deteriorate in different weather conditions, and as a result it doesn't provide as much insulation between the rear deck plastic and the window. What I actually did on my old Civic was get some super soft thin weather stripping with no adhesive on it and just pushed it into the corner where it was out of sight, but provided lots of cushion between the rear deck and the window. Prevented all vibrations even with a 600W sub in the trunk. Basically like your scarf idea, but you can get away with slim weather stripping, like this:
1) Was a missing screw bolting the right rear deck 6x9.
Fix: Square piece of cardboard wedged between speaker and metal. (Didn't have screws)
2) Rear deck in general is layers or metal that are flexible and not tightly bolted down (somewhere I guess) so the two pieces of metal hit and vibrate.
Fix: Two PCB pipes pressing up against it and the trunk floor (temporary fix)
3) 3rd brake light. I have the factory spoiler so the 3rd brake light is not hooked up so it sits loosly without a bulb in it but the bulb housing and reflector. That rattles around inside.
Fix: Stuffed a sock in it.
I know my fixes are ghetto as fuck but they fixed all my rattles and for free. I'll have to find something to keep pressure on the deck like self tapping screws or something but until then the PCB pipes stay.
If it's under warranty, I'd personally bring it back to the dealership and have them fix it. I remember for my 08 Accord, they had couple of fit + finish issues that they fixed (rear deck rattle, door trip falling off).
