Exclamation '16 ILX Stability & Traction Control

Figured out the procedure on how to TOTALLY disable all stability control & traction control on the new ILX. This procedure I'm told will work on different Honda & Acura models as well.

Quite the process, but if you wanted to try it, or know how to do it, here ya go. Enjoy!

Well thats pretty cool. Where did you find that hidden secret?

Were still trying to track down a full dealership manual for the car so we can delve into all the nitty details ourselves.

Got a little bit of inside help on this one... Hope you all enjoy and give it a try. Anybody want to chime in on what other vehicles they got this to work on?

Im sorry but why exactly are you wanting to turn off both the stability and traction control?

I completely see why someone would want to turn off traction control as even water will send one wheel spinning and kill the acceleration.

But why would you want stability control off? That just seems dangerous. I dont see the point on a 201hp fwd car...

I have no idea. Personally I'm not even a huge fan of the ILX in general. Just thought it was useful information. Maybe you are trying to diagnose a problem. Maybe stability control is annoying to you. Who knows. Just something interesting I thought and I really wouldn't consider it "dangerous"....

Any kind of track racing such as Autocross or HPDE. Horsepower has nothing to do with it.

Nice, but has anyone figured out how to disable VSA on the 14 ILX? I've tried what the video showed but it's not working.

No sure why anyone would care to autocross an entry level luxury low HP FWD car. Seems pointless. So not sure still why anyone would want to disable these things in this car.

I'm still waiting to see if theres an official/unofficial way to do some form of launch control.

One of the reasons the '16 ILX has inconsistent 1/4 mi times is its 60" time. Its got plenty of power and shift control once it gets going, but w/o having an ability to spin the motor up before 'dropping the metaphorical clutch', its initial start off the line can come off as a bit -slow-.

Well you don't need much HP to autox and FWD isnt bad for it either, it's mostly the driver. Some people just want to have fun and go with what they have. You don't have to be a club racer or whatever lol.
