The standard def. picture isn't fantastic but its still an improvement on the old 20" CRT. The DVD picture over the component input is excellent (480p). I can only imagine what the HD signal would look like.
Yesterday I picked up a cheap indoor amplified antenna from Fry's to see if I could pull in some OTA HD signals. It worked better than I expected and the results were stunning.

I could not believe how well the local newscast on ABC, the evening NFL game on NBC and the Clipper game on channel 5.1 looked. I was amazed at how good of a picture this Westinghouse produced. The broadcasts were either 720p or 1080i, were displayed in widescreen format, and were crystal clear, all with the built in tuner. I highly recommend this Westinghouse 32" to anyone.

Contract? You may be one of the only people in the country with a contract for cable. I mean, one of their main marketing points is no contracts.

BTW, I hate how the same cable company can be so different depending on where you live. Example, we have TW here and they are pretty good, and price-wise, for what I get, they beat Dish and DirecTV hands down.

Also, before you switch, be advised that cable offers the best HD picture as of right now. Do a search in here, Siggy posted a ton of info explaining the reasons behind this...

Rep for great use of smilies

You're fairly close to all of the studios in LA, so I'm not suprised you're getting great reception.

Looks like this set is sold out everywhere except on eBay where everyone is reselling them.

The Best Buy in Signal Hill, CA had 3 boxes on the floor last night. Sorry, it doesn't help you much in Maryland.
