Which TV Should I Get? Samsung or LG

I'm moving into a new place and I need to get a new TV. I'm torn between the Samsung UN46ES6500 and LG 47LM6700. They're basically the price and have the same features. The LG has better colors and wider viewing angle, but I generally like Samsungs better. For those that want to take a look:

Which one should I get??

Whichever looks better to you when you look at them. I have a Samsung, and it's very good. My parents have an LG, and it's very good. If you need reviews of those specific TVs, check out Amazon, Best Buy, cnet, and the AVS forums.

Hit up HHGregg and take a look at it.

But whatever you do, do it soon. Sony and Samsung both announced this week that they are going to start enforcing their selling prices to all resellers.

They already have. And its several years too late. These things are whored out everywhere. I haven't given a rats ass about selling a tv in a few years. I tell customer just go buy something, cause its not worth my time to listen to them try to comparison shop. If I can integrate it into the whole system, great. If I cannot, oh well. Hopefully all this changes now that they are going to enforce their UPPs.

LG has definitely been stepping up their game. I just got an LG Plasma (have 2 Samsung LCD's and had a Samsung DLP). I have nothing bad to say about samsung, but I love my new LG Plasma

It's all a matter of opinions. LG has always, or at least, for a long while been making great TV's. They also make lower end sets that are sub par. The fact that people give negative reviews generally are due to the fact that they purchase on price, not specs. Their upper level sets have been decent sets for a while. I have a plasma that is going on 5 or 6 years old that still has an exceptional picture, far better than what Samsung offered back then in fact.

Samsung also has had an ongoing issue with cheap capacitors popping resulting in dead sets in need of repair. Some of my clients have been bitten by these. Far more than the only real issue I have had come up with LG, which is pink "sparkles" on the screen. I think they are both on par with one another to be honest, just stick to the higher end models and you'll be happy with your choice.

LG is the best value. Samsung is best overall. Sony Bravia XBR series are the best, but cost an arm and a leg, literally.

Cheaper wins? OLED will hit the market next, so save up

Actually Sharp has a series, that costs a ridiculous amount...like 50" for 5k and that is rated as the best from what Ive seen currently.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Decided to go with the LG since there was a sale I found and it was a couple hundred less than the Samsung.
