Squeezebox?

Is this the best media device out there to play music, internet radio, etc?

Of course I have a Mac mini and Apple TV, but thinking a squeezebox is a better route. Any experiences? If there are alternative suggestions, it needs to be Mac friendly.

I wish they still made the squeezebox boom.

I think I've convinced myself that the best portal sound system is something that can accept an ipod touch or iphone.

The guy doing the work just said a squeezebox, but looking at logitech's website, I don't see much other than wireless players. I think he's referring to the squeezebox duet, which I don't believe is being manufactured anymore?

I'm wondering if Squeeze is going to go away.

This looks good and pretty cheap Grace Digital GDI-IRA500 Wireless Internet Radio Adapter Featuring Pandora, NPR and SIRIUS

Price may limit you from going this route, but look into the Autonomics Mirage systems. Awesome system. If you speak to any of the guys I sent you numbers for, ask them if they have info on this system.

The MMS-5 can also function as your distributed audio system as it has 5 zones of output, and can be controlled with full metadata from an iPad/iPod or any computer browser. It will also backup all your music to the cloud and can be synched with another mirage system, say at a vacation home.
