Speaker wire for receiver to speakers
Speaker wire for receiver to speakers
So I recently bought 2 Polk RTI8s...and I also have an Onkyo SR805...I no absolutely nothing about speaker wire...so what speaker wire should I buy two hook these two things up and where should I buy it from?
monoprice?
monoprice?
I think the wire I used was 14-20 guage, I forgot which one since I wired the house during construction. Your best bet would be around 16 in my opinion, not to thick and it can still carry the wattage from the 805.
I used 12awg monoprice wire for my entire 7.1 surround setup and used definitive technology speakers, as well as zone 2 and zone 3 hooked up to BIC America speakers....
Depending on the distance needed to run from the receiver to the speaker, 12-14 awg would be perfectly fine...
