Samsung 46" - LN46A750
Mine has the halo problem, not sure what the build date is though. It's not really much of an issue at all IMO, just people being picky. I wonder how much of a PITA it is to get it fixed.
I have to check my firmware, but I know I just updated it about a month ago.
It's happening to me and i can't figure it out. I will calibrate my TV to how I like it, all is well. I will watch it for a while and all of a sudden I see the settings just completely reset themselves (backlight goes way up, colors revert to stock) as if i never made the settings changes. It's really weird. I've tried Google and can't find anything.

Here's a link to a great 750 owners thread over at the AVS forums.

Watched some Blu-Ray last night and WOW. It looks good. I don't really have any comparison but its much better than my 50" 720P Sammy DLP. My wife commented on how impressed she was by the picture. That itself tells me it looks good because she never comments on stuff like this.
^That's a great resource. Thanks
I'm going to try using DLNA over the weekend.
The 750 User Manual states the following file formats for DLNA

DLNA Certified Explanation:
The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is an organization dedicated to enabling consumer devices to share information between each other over a home network.
What this means is that the 750 series TV's are able to display streaming content from a computer. First you must connect the TV to your network. Then you must install the included Samsung software on your PC and you should be good to go. This does not work with the wireless adapter (sold separately). The DLNA network must be connected via a normal broadband networking cable. (i.e. CAT-5)

Wiselink PRO Explanation:
Wiselink PRO is the TV's ability to play media stored on a USB flash drive. To use this feature, simply place the drive in the Wiselink USB port located on the side connections panel and then navigate the appropriate menus.
All of the same file types from DLNA are supported over Wiselink PRO.
USB harddrives such as an external hdd or an iPod are not supported. Attach these at your own risk as owners of other models of Samsung TVs have reported that trying to access files on these resulted in bricking the TV.

From what I understand, you hook up the ethernet cable to your modem and download the DLNA software to your laptop from the Samsung site.
You then can access it from the TV as long as it's in the format that it accepts.
Can I say
I will try it this weekend.

You have to install some software package that came with the TV on your puter and add folders to share to it... I haven't gotten around to it yet as my PC is currently down, but it seems like a combersome operation. So far the easiest has just been leaving a flash drive in it.
WTF, a file system is a file system. My understanding from the computer side of things is that the only difference a host device should see between a flash drive and an external hard drive is a bit that flags whether or not the device should be considered removable storage.
No, sorry. I spend the better part of a night trying to run cables through the pipes in the wall and cleaning up.
I did come across a problem with picture quality though. I was watching the Raptor game in HD on TSN2 (hopefully Dougler was as well?) and the quality wasn't very good. It was better on TSN which was showing the Leaf game but I still found my DLP to have better pic quality in HD. Even the Nat Geographic channel which is typically amazing didn't look to good on the 750.
I played around with some setting and nothing. The most disturbing part was whenever they zoomed in at the B-Ball game people's suits and the black chairs looked all fuzzy like there was movement. Its hard to explain but it definitely. wasn't right. Players black uni's looked ok. But overall it wasn't as sharp as I'm used to.

What about other HD channels? Could have been that feed.

The Hockey game, national Geo channel and others all looked ok but not as sharp as what I'm used to in HD.
The basketball game was concerning because of the blacks when the camera was zoomed in. It was awful. I hope it was feed but somehow I doubt it. Which is also why I was hoping The Dougler was watching the same feed, on the same TV.

I had the same issue going from DLP to LCD. I actually liked my DLP better from a picture quality standpoint. I then used recommended settings from AVS and some other small adjustments. Needless to say I've been happy ever since.
Earlier on I even went as far as putting my DLP next to my LCD to see if I was smoking crack.

You aren't the only one. My Samsung 4665 LCD straight out of the box looked downright blurry compared to my 46" DLP. The out of box settings always have sharpness fairly low and brightness full blast.
The interesting advantage DLP has is no medium to filter the light. It strikes the screen in its pure, crisp, sharp form. On an LCD, the light has to pass through a stimulated liquid. It did take a couple days before I was convinced I hadn't thrown away my money.

Well the firmware I just installed was 2003.2 I don't know if there's really much difference. I also have set it up to that guys color settings, to be honest I can't really tell any difference, color replication might be a little better. Maybe I'm not picky enough but it looks pretty damn good to me.
Calibrated last night. Its hard to determine if it actually helped because I haven't watched the TV that much. But I can say that the picture was stunning last night. Watched Smallville and CSI in HD and it was amazing, as was Nat Geo channel. When I have some time I'll reset the picture settings and have a look again.
The big test will come tonight with the Raptor game.
My only concern is that I can't switch to Standard or Dynamic mode after the calibration as the TV is calibrated for Movie mode. Doing so ruins the picture. It will take some more experimenting.
No AVR yet so I'm using the TV.

LN46A750 separation of red color and bezel
I heard there was a problem with the 750's cracking around the bezel. I was in Sears a couple of days ago and saw a 750 with what looked like separations between the red bezel and the clear outer area. Has Samsung addressed this problem. I hate to spend $1500+ for a TV that looks as if it will split around the edges. I even saw some of this on an 850 series on display.
