Plasma TV help

I have a 42" plasma about 2 years old and lately I have been noticing 2 strange things:

1) approximately every 30 seconds I notice a "ripple" effect where it actually looks like the image is moving water from top to bottom. Sometime it is hardly noticeable and other times it drives me nuts

2) just the other day I was watching a widescreen DVD and the black area surrounding the picture would seem to flicker and go from black to white very fast and then return to black again

Does anyone know if this sounds like my tv is having problems or if this is natural with a plasma of 2 years in age? I have a warranty and I may have to call them up if this continues

First thing I would try is to make sure all the cable connections are good. I would even go as far as to try a set of replacement cables.

After that, call for repair. Those are not normal events.

If it's not a loose or dirty cable, it sounds like a bad power supply.

I would suggest you go to AVS Forum and ask your question. They are the biggest A/V forum out there and very helpful too.
