Guys,

My in-laws are shopping for TV's. You guys have any opinions or personal experience with these sets? Do not mind the prices...they just stopped at one store so far. If someone could let me know if they think one is better than another?

40” – Sony Bravia KDLV40SBR1 for $2999.98 and the 32” Sony Bravia KDLV32SBR1 @ $2199.98



Samsung models are: 40” – SAM LNS4051D for $2799.98 and the 32” is SAM LNS3251D (I do not recall the price).

Then for the kitchen, they have a new 15” SHARP flat panel LCD SHA LC15SH6U for $359.98.

 

Well, I'm not a big Sony fan, but I am a big Samsung fan, so I'd go with the Sammy's. We have a 42" Samsung Plasma and 50" Samsung DLP and absolutely love both of them.

I have a 32" Sony CRT HD-TV which I love as well, but we bought a 60" Sony LCD last year and ended up returning it... so I'm kind of sour on Sony LCD's since then....

 

They (Circuit City) told my in-laws that Sony is made by Samsung.

What?

 

That's probably the biggest reason why I do all of my own research before going into a Circuit City or Best Buy. While there are some knowledgable people who work there, for the most part they're usually not quite on the ball

Then I was like, I think I would have heard something about that along the way in my travels and own shopping. I hate when people blow smoke and BS up unknowing people's arses. My poor in-laws...I told them to let me go with them.....sigh....they have not bought yet, but I will let them know that all my friends online agree with me that er, uh, the Sony rumor...not true
