Logitech debuts Harmony Ultimate
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/produc...armonyultimate
Logitech has announced two new home control remotes — the Harmony Ultimate ($350) and Harmony Smart Control ($130) — that can both use an iOS app for control. Harmony Ultimate is a full remote with 2.4” color touchscreen that can control up to 15 devices through swipes and taps. It can also control the Philips Hue lighting system.
Harmony Smart Control works mainly through the Harmony smartphone app, though it also comes with a simple remote. It can consolidate up to eight remote controls into one app. Both remotes are compatible with 225,000 home theater devices, and both include the Harmony Hub, which turns RF signals from the remote into IR and Bluetooth commands for home theater device compatibility. The Harmony Hub also allows users to control devices through cabinets and walls. Harmony Ultimate is expected to launch this month, while Harmony Smart Control should be available in May.

It's pretty that it runs both IR and RF.
Plus it works with Apps.
If my One was not still working like a champ, I'd pick one of these bad boys up!

So, my Harmony One is finally starting to go after 5-6 years. The power button is dying, thats been the biggest issue. Wife finally had it.
So, I researched the Smart Control, the Touch, and the Ulimate.
Based on reviews...I actually went with the least expensive, Smart Control.
Gotta say, I just finished setting it up...and I freaking love it already. WAY better than my One...the physical remote is very thin, light, nice to hold, easy. The system as a whole is much faster than my One.
The App control I haven't gotten much into yet, but seems just as simple with the added customization of favorites channels for TV.
Wife should be very happy with it when she gets home.
I will say the reviews note that set up can be very frustrating...I didn't find it as such...except that it hung on me once...but the settings saved. And if you already have a harmony account...you should be able to transfer settings from one remote to another...for someone reason my go account wasn't working.
So far...Im impressed and happy with it

Wow, the reviews for the Smart Control are pretty incredible, everyone seems to love that physical remote. I think I may pick one up for downstairs but will probably never use the app, thanks David.
