Just bought a new TV! Need help with calibration.

I just bought a new TV, Panasonic TH-50PZ80U 1080P !!!! I had to buy a new one since my old TV went out and I got the code from the blinking red lights that I had a bad power supply board and another board go bad, 800 repair, ahhh I will just buy a new TV.

anyways I am in the process of the break in period of the TV since I just got it on Sunday. I was wondering does anyone know of any people that can calibrate TV's or can walk me through it? Or if anyone on here lives in the Northern Cali area willing to do it, I can pay. I want to maximaize my color and PQ.

Here is a picture of my new set up. and my old set up.

Thank you in advance for helping me with this.

New >>>> old. And you need to discover the Home Theater & Electronics subforum of the Home & Garden subforum.

What program are you watching? It looks like a how-to DIY child-beating show.

If you have the HD-DVD drive for the 360, get the "Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics" disc.

No point in trying to calibrate a HDTV without a HD calibration disc.

I calibrated my new Samsung 58" a650 Plasma from settings I found on avsforums. I tried a few different settings and made minor adjustments to my liking. I am extremely happy with the picture.

OK, before you go and ruin your TV, please join the AVS forum...

They have calibration lists for all TVs done by the professionals. It will help you to adjust your options for every device you are using to get the most out of your TV and room. Of course hiring an ISF professional for $300 is another option, or try to obtain a meter with software for a DIY.

BigLizard, aren't you worried about a lack of ventilation for your receiver?
