I moved into this century...
Finally got a LCD/LED TV. My 1st one. My 57" Projection still works great, moving that into another room. Made in 2005 & still kicking.
Got a 60" Vizio.
It's definitely a lot brighter then the projection.
What's the life span on these types of TV's?

I bought a 42" Vizio M series (1080P) a couple months ago. I'm impressed with it so far. Good value compared to Samsung and others. I hope to get 10 years out of it.

My first flat screen is still kicking. It's a Magnavox 42" LCD that I bought in 2007. It has had a glitch since it was 6 months old where it can take several minutes for it to turn on (never had it fixed), but it always works once it fires up.

Our first flat screen (37" 720p) from about 2005 is still working fine.
