Exclamation Help! Networking issue!!!!

So I am having a DHCP issue, it seems.

I have everything run into the electronics closet, including the router (Apple Airport). I have no issues connecting via wi-fi, but anything wired can not DHCP to the router. My iMac defaults to a dummy IP, where as I have it tied to the MAC address and assigned a static IP (10.0.1.101). Also, while this MacBook air got it's IP (10.0.1.102), it isn't able to see my Mac Mini, which is hardwired into the switch. Grrrrrr.

I have the cable modem run into the 24-port switch and the Airport Extreme run into the switch also. So it's clearly allowing me to get out to the web with this setup via wireless and assigning properly via wifi. But for some reason, I can't get it to DHCP wired clients. Weird.

I gotta play some more.

Sounds intense...
FYIW - We had a wireless internet network issue on initall setup {orig with Netgear router}.
When I switched to Uverse with more powerfull cable modem
the problem went away. Wired clients should be the least of problems.
Weird it is ..
