I just bought this for my father for Christmas. He has all his electronics in a closet about 15 feet away from the couch. His old Logitech (forget which model) remote which is IR is terrible. This one is RF, which will solve his problem. But the CNET reviews are almost all negative. Most of them complain about it not having macros. This may not be a big deal for him but 280 for a remote without macros sounds ridiculous. He just needs a remote that controls his DVD player, CD changer, Cable Box, and receiver without connection problems.

I like the features it has over the Harmony One RF so I chose it. It's a nice looking remote, and I have experienced the 890. But I am just looking for some first hand experience with it.
