Got the folks to get a Sammy :)
Samsung HP-S4253 42" Plasma HDTV

Don't mind the clutter, just put everything up this evening. My dad wanted a 1080p DLP 50 inch screen but the couch is about 6 feet away from the tv and I thought that would be a bad idea. Couldn't find any 42 inch dlp's at CC even though it might have been better to look around I was too lazy. Wish it was my tv
but they got it for 1900 after tax, 3 year warranty. At least I get to enjoy it for a few months especially when I get the 360 back.
I was searching around here earlier but so many post, so many decisions! I think we should have gone with a DLP...you think so?
Now I have to get them to get rid of the 30 year old stereo components and the apex dvd player, yeah they are on the heels of technology!

Watch out for fine print, most of those deals state, previous purchases do not apply to current promotion.

Plus resolution is so crisp, it's GREAT....Not to kill this thread or anything but I got mine from amazon.com for $2070 w/o tax and free shipping. Some think it's risky buying big tv online but ordering one from reputable website saved me BUNCH. If you can still return your tv I would suggest to look up online. Personal opinion, I don't think these TV's really need 3years warranty. It's nice to know that your TV's covered for next three years but technology is so good these days, I personally don't find it to be necessary. Just my two cents.

I've already received $270 back on the TV we bought b/c they dropped the price even lower one week. So we just check the flyer each week. So far only that price drop, but I'm still covered for 3+ more weeks
