First Home Theater Setup Thoughts?
New to the home theater scene(projectors and screens) but decided to use the basement for something cool.
I purchased it used to see how I like it and how the first setup would go, I bought it from a buddy at work, IT guy who is upgrading his system after he moves into his new house.
Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 700 - model # H285A
106" Severtson screen Deluxe Series High Contrast Grey
Ceiling mount
Still need a long ass HDMI cable and figure the mounting, setup etc but should be interesting. I haven't even finished the basement yet but figured I'd check everything out and set it up in the meantime to figure out everything I need to do when I do finish the basement.
Any tips, suggestions, ideas? The basement has one tiny window (2' x 1') so lighting is ideal

before you finish the basement, take a look at some of the builds/theaters that some of these guys on AVSforums.com have made! Some are amazing! Take some of their ideas and put them into play if you like them. Also it helps that your basement is unfinished so hiding wiring and such will be much easier!
Do you have an audio setup already? If not, I'd research that too on AVS.

Yea I've been on AVS for a while but haven't renewed it yet this year. That's pretty much what my plans are since the basement is unfinished I figured I'd get this setup the way I want and be able to hide everything.
I'm pretty much up to speed on the audio side just don't know much at all about projectors and screens.

I feel the need...

With an active toddler and another one on the way, I can only imagine the rampage and shenanigans that will occur in the basement over the next decade which is the primary reason why I decided on a low-end system for now. Plus it gives me something to look forward to when its upgrade time.
