..... just got the comcast hd box and it came with the 3 in 1 comcast universal remote.....

im trying to set it up with our 50'' plasma but there is no code for it on the comcast website, is there any way to do it???

our's is a vizio 50'' plasma and there was no vizio codes on comcast.....

Oh, and just an FYI... that plasma is an off-brand and they have been around for some time (BJs has had them for a while now). Not saying it didn't get good reviews for bang for the buck.... but if it's not a Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Pioneer, and so on.... it's considered an off-brand. Another example... ComCast would have had the codes for it readily available as they do all brand name sets. You wouldn't have had to search internet forums for the info....

hahaha. Not really. Just pointing out the facts. We've considered putting a Sylvania 42" Plasma (EDTV) in one of the guest room down the road (the TV in there is on its way out, but we're holding off as long as possible since it is a guest room). If we did buy it... I would accept the fact that it's a Sylvania and an EDTV up front ... but it would serve its purpose.

They (Vizio) are nice TVs and they did get great reviews from what I've seen/read as far as a value plasma... but no matter how good the reviews are... they are still considered an off-brand manufacturer.

hahahahahaha. You had me going so much that I was searching. I was like, some neighbor's have plasmas.... but i don't think I ever said any of them have them in their guest rooms.

 

I dunno how filthy rich or dumb your neighbors are, but you'd have to be one of the two to put a $10K display in the guest room.
