3d tv

I was wondering if i was to purchase a 3d tv does that mean i can only watch 3d content only? Cause as everyone knows if you dont have the glasses on the screen has a double image and is cloudy.

i was planning to get a 3d tv but if that means i can only watch absolutly everything on tv in 3d then forget it. I mean who wants to watch everything with the damn glasses on all the time?

if this is the case, i wanted to get a 55-60 inch led lcd sony tv. Does anyone know the high end sony that maybe comming out or is out in this size? i ask cause on sony.com they have some other models and when i go around to places like crutchfield.com or bestbuy etc... they have models that the sony site dont have. there are just so many damn models i am a bit confused what different between all of them.

thanks

Once you buy the TV, everything is in 3D, including reality. You need to wear the glasses everywhere....

No. That would never be commercially viable.
Do you think anyone buying a 3-d tv wants to have two tvs in the same room, one for 3-d and one not for 3d?

Cause as everyone knows if you dont have the glasses on the screen has a double image and is cloudy.
Only for scenes with 3-d effects. For a 2-d scene, it looks just fine.
During 'UP', my first 3-d movie, I was peeking at the movie from time to time with the glasses off, and a lot of the time it wasn't signifigantly different.

I'm not interested in 3-d movies myself, so I can't help you on an actual selection.

Most TVs have a "3D" mode... so watching regular TV would be as normal. Then, when you put 3D programming on, you switch your TV to 3D mode.

We just bought the Sony 55-inch HX8 LED tv. Actually, my other half bought it and told me afterwards.

Anyway, it's still in the box waiting to be unpacked because we're painting the family room and kitchen, so all the furniture is jammed into the other rooms for now. Looking forward to getting it set up (and having sofas to sit on again ). The box is huge and 55 inchers always look big to me in the stores, so I just hope it doesn't look ridiculous in the room. Men and their tvs...haha.

He got it at the Sony store in Woodbury Commons (Monroe, NY).

Honestly I wouldn't buy any current model 3D TVs.

Read THIS

Seems like 3D television with the glasses is going the way of the Betamax.

He/we didn't buy it for the 3D. Probably will never use it. I can't even watch it anyway, I get motion sick so easily I'd barf in a matter of minutes.
