32" Sony plasma flat screen went 'pop'....

Then no picture. Anyone have this happen and is it something worth repairing?

I think the plasma inside fried and it's probably just cheaper to get an LED TV.

power surge?

sounds like dead power supply and hopefully that's it and no other vital parts of the system have been damaged. Might be easily replaceable or might be expensive, it all depends on how the power supply is designed. Take it into a shop and find out.

Call one of the local shops, tell them the make and model and what happened. In most cases they can tell you what happened base on their dealings with it. The place I've used here has been able to that for me.
