Oh well. Maybe I can talk to the "She Devil" tonight about this, but I doubt I'll win, despite being right.

As my father told me two days ago about marriage, "You're either right or you're happy."

Don't do the first two or give up just yet. keep working on door #3.
How about being a little more generous on the temperature setbacks or the times? From an hour or so after bedtime turn it up 5-10 ° ? During the day halfway between what you each want. Don't give up till you get some kind of concession unless you are really pissing her off. HINT Thinking of her as a she-devil is not a good starting point.

Well, come Monday it's going to get a whole lot worse. My wife is a nurse, and her work is putting her on nights, and she will be sleeping during the day.

Looks like I will have to compensate a little and leave it off at night! Ugggh.

Lauren, you have to calculate it. For instance, I used 1645 KWH of power last month, and I just divided the cost (not including taxes) by the number of KWH.

We just got our first full month's electric bill, and it was "only" $199 for a 2100 sq. ft. house, and cold as shit at night. I guess it's not that bad. I guess I can't complain too much if this continues, but the fall will bring slightly cooler air.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to install a solar generator to make a "green" house? I want the sun to make electricity for us, and if we can sell it back to the power company, we can do that.
