They were in the house when I bought it, but I know they ready-made, like IKEA.

Looks very nice, but the only thing I may have changed is the borders for the squares. I wouldn't have put those there, or just would have used a 1 inch border of tile around it for accenting. The border just creates so many lines, and those lines don't line up with the bigger tiles. But honestly it looks really nice.

I gave them kind of free reign in there. I just picked the tiles and said make it look nice. I didn't even know they were going to put the windows in until it was dry walled. For the price I'm getting it done for....I'm lucky I didn't just get tile and a new vanity!

Yeah like I said it looks great. I plan on tiling my bathroom myself, so you can criticize my work when I post pictures

ACTUALLY....the tile that I picked from Lowes was off by 1/8". I actually called the manufacturer and they changed the tile size and it just happened that I bought 4 boxes of the old batch and 6 of the new. After 1/2 the wall was done the problem was noticed.

So...where are the pics of your place? I'd like to see all of the stuff done to it too, this way, I too can piss all over what you did to it.....

He's just bitter cause he's so far underwater on his place.

I anticipate him starting his "summer break" shortly.

The vents on the wall are the returns. They did sit on the bottom of the wall before, but they raised them up so the base board can go al of the way across. The only other option was to put them about 6 ft. in the air. I'm eventually gonna put something in front of them like a book case or shelving system.

hornyleprechaun:
I think it was around $400-500. I'm not sure.

I don't think I've ever seen cold air returns on the floor. Interesting.

Oh and I wouldn't put anything in front of them, like a bookcase. You don't want to restrict the air going back to your furnace. Good way to burn out the motor early.'

Excellent work. Love the shower work!

IIRC (from watching 'Holmes on Homes') cold air returns should be up high to reduce the amount of dust that you recirculate.

And no, you definitely shouldn't block them.
