what can you make from deck rails?

we replaced the rails on our deck a couple weeks ago and i was wondering what to do with the rails as i just can't rhow everything away w/o recycling it.

Soooooo i made a table. It not the most level thing but it's pretty sturdy and it only cost me the deck screws, electricity and time to produce it.

the only thing i need to do is buy some trim and clean up the edges and sand it down and stain it again.

Did you bother to pre-drill for the screws? Looks like you f'ed up a few of the corners.

And why did you replace the ballusters? They looked like they were in good condition.

that was from the circular saw. once they were on the table i hacked off the ends.

the rails were dried out and most were becoming very loose and dangerous to have our 3 year old neice near them.

I had the same issue, lots of leftover trex. I made a planter, looks great matching the deck. Nice idea.

I guess the funnah was not found on my pic

At any rate, I was going to reply again and let you know I like it. Once you trim it out like you said, it will be nice.
