Vivint solar (PPA) lease?
this past weekend i had a rep stop by my house to try and 'sell' me on their solar program. i wasn't sure if anyone have come across this, but basically, they use a (PPA) where your house is used to mount the solar panels for 20 yrs at no cost to you.
they strap on a Net meter which sells any excess power back to the utility company... whatever energy you use is purchased from them at a cheaper rate than the local utility company. when you aren't generating any power (at night, no sun), you purchase your energy from the local utility as normal...
anyone come across this? i am considering it, but have reservations since i don't plan to be in my house for 20 yrs...

The sizzle in the Steak
Might be tough when you sell the house...being that a 20 YEAR lease is attached to the house.
IMHO....I'd pass.
Unless your electric bills are a couple of hundred bucks a month...but then again if your bills are that high, just purchase the panels at 3-5 grand.
20 year lease?!?!? No thanks.
