Visit @ the Granite warehouse *PICS*

Went to my granite guys factory today, absolutely incredible samples and slabs.... these pics look nothing like how they are in person

we're going with this, and yes... can't beat $42/sq ft he's hooking me up with. It looks great with our cabinets and new tile:

the last place we lived at, there was a granite place and they had it stored outside. they had about 100 or more slabs

That slab has alot a "movement" / variation in it. Looks real nice as one big huge slab, when it gets cut into your smaller pieces for your countertops, the result may not be as good looking.

I'm not trying to piss in your cheerios or anything, but it's something to consider.
If you have a large uninterrupted countertop area (such as a large breakfast bar peninsula) then that slab will look great.

^ for sure, agreed. our island is pretty huge, keep in mind... we have 106.5 sq ft to cover. The installer is pretty cool too... we actually told him what portions to cut for the counters. We gave him 3 options for the island since it will be the most visable, followed by a desk which is eye level.

awesome, are you doing a laminated edge? what style edge detail?
I wish my island were huge so I could get a single piece with a lot of "movement" like that too.
