I was wondering why your never responded to my PM, you got other things on your mind!

it is exciting to own a home, PIA as well but exciting

dont forgot to put that garage paint stuff on the floor of your garage so it is easier to clean up and the oil and crap doesnt get soaked into the concrete

if you can do it before you ever park a car in there then that would be the best thing.. it will be easier since you have no clutter in there ... it will take some planning and time but trust me... doing stuff when nothing is in there yet will make the job less painful.. just my two cents since I never did it and regret it oh so much now

That master closet is crazy. And reminded me when we looked at a house that was crazy similar to yours. Especially that closet.

You going to have enough kitchen cabinet space? The pantry a good size?

Well that is the biggest worry the wife has....according to me we have a ton of storage/cabinet space....Pantry is a walkin and pretty decent size. We have cabinet space under the island....I think we ample storage but maybe because we are going from an apartment to a house....

we actually got luck with the master closet....since I got the side entry garage, the closet became a little skinnier but a lot longer LOL....

Chad we did for the trash can....I wanted to get it done for the silverware as well but the wife said she has a better idea....LOL....

also in the island, we have pull outs for pots and pans as reaching all the way in the bottom can be a PITA....

^BG is good. Although it won't care TOO much for a harsh winter. And it needs a lot of water. But it's def the best option, imho.

I just bought seed to over seed our yard and went with a fescue blend.

No it's def the best color...and texture...imo. But it's not what ours currently is and I don't foresee me watering all that often so I just stuck with Scotts Midwest Fescue blend.

You're winters aren't quite as bad as ours either.

Good choice though.

^Don't. You made the right choice. That's the advantage of starting with a clean slate and being able to use sod.

I would recommend treating either the soil before or the sod after with lime. You'll find that the topsoil used in construction to have a very, very wrong pH level. Just a tip.

Our builder gave us a key. He had temporary hardware on the front door so all the subs could have access to that key, and he's changing it to the permanent hardware today so we're the only ones with the key.

I am really regretting not doing this when we moved into our house. The garage floors is in good shape but the paint is a bit worn. I've eventually going to have to redo it. It sucks even thinking about it because of the clutter.

i wanted to ask him for the temp key but didnt want to go thro the whole "if anything gets stolen then you are responsible" deal...so thought i can go to the house over my lunch and see the progress.

I will be meeting the landscaping company today and deciding on the scrubs/tree/plants/etc and deciding on the irrigation/sprinkler system components...

Will take pix and upload em tonight....

Ravi, we have not gotten our garage painted and am thinking of not buying anything for the garage over the winter and just taking it up as a spring project.

Will be painting my garage walls and most prolly doing this on the garage floors
