I was wondering why your never responded to my PM, you got other things on your mind!
it is exciting to own a home, PIA as well but exciting
dont forgot to put that garage paint stuff on the floor of your garage so it is easier to clean up and the oil and crap doesnt get soaked into the concrete

if you can do it before you ever park a car in there then that would be the best thing.. it will be easier since you have no clutter in there ... it will take some planning and time but trust me... doing stuff when nothing is in there yet will make the job less painful.. just my two cents since I never did it and regret it oh so much now

Here are the updated pix:
Day 80 - October 17th - Trim/Door/Cabinets done....Time to start painting
This is the rack at the entrance from the garage....a little place to put coats and shoes etc
sorry for the grainy pix but here is the mantle around the fireplace...and trim on the ceiling and floor
we moved the hutch which comes in the kitchen area to the stub in the dining room....no need to buy a china cabinet/almory
here is how the kitchen looks
this is the office on the main level...we had it extended so it can also be used as a bedroom
here is the stairs to go up/down
waincoat and mirror (will come within the frame)
master closet
cabinet/vanity which comes in all the baths
it had gotten dark so cudnt take pix of other rooms but will have some more pix tomorrow

That master closet is crazy. And reminded me when we looked at a house that was crazy similar to yours. Especially that closet.
You going to have enough kitchen cabinet space? The pantry a good size?

haha its all good dude....but in anyway, thanks for posting the link for me
Well that is the biggest worry the wife has....according to me we have a ton of storage/cabinet space....Pantry is a walkin and pretty decent size. We have cabinet space under the island....I think we ample storage but maybe because we are going from an apartment to a house....
we actually got luck with the master closet....since I got the side entry garage, the closet became a little skinnier but a lot longer LOL....

Anil did you guys do any of the cabinet pullout systems? I've been eyeing some at Lowes for our pots and pans and recycle can.

they are putting down Blue Grass Sod....I have heard good things about it for the midwest weather....
I have not been able to take pix as they keep the doors locked. I went over my lunch yesterday and they hadnt started painting yet On the schedule the builder send me painting was given days from 10/18 to 10/30....so i think they are running couple days late

^BG is good. Although it won't care TOO much for a harsh winter. And it needs a lot of water. But it's def the best option, imho.
I just bought seed to over seed our yard and went with a fescue blend.

No it's def the best color...and texture...imo. But it's not what ours currently is and I don't foresee me watering all that often so I just stuck with Scotts Midwest Fescue blend.
You're winters aren't quite as bad as ours either.
Good choice though.

^Don't. You made the right choice. That's the advantage of starting with a clean slate and being able to use sod.
I would recommend treating either the soil before or the sod after with lime. You'll find that the topsoil used in construction to have a very, very wrong pH level. Just a tip.
