Is a steam cleaner safe for...

Pergo floors? I was thinking about a Haan steam cleaner that I saw on an infomercial if it matters. Seemed to get good reviews on amazon.

Why would you need to use a steam cleaner on pergo?

My mom always cleans the floor with this Pergo spray and a cloth and I figure it's killer for her back. I have no idea about the flooring, just that it's pergo.
