Single-Cup Coffee Machines...

Any thoughts on the Keurig K45? I was thinking about the K145 office version but it says it doesn't use the reusable cup. I was totally against this type of thing, I've always bought whole bean and brewed with French press or Chemex but I'm too lazy in my old age. All the reviews seem like they've gotten cheaper and break easy but I figure if I get it for $100 at Bed Bath and Beyond after coupon I can always return it there.
I haven't had any real problems with mine. The only problem I've experienced was that after the machine warmed up, I'd load a K cup, press a cup size button to make a cup, and nothing would happen. I'd have to unplug and then plug the machine back in to reset it. But this has only happened like 5 times over the 4 years I've owned it, so it's not a big deal.
Before I bought mine I read a few reviews by people who said that the machine didn't last long for them -- got 2 years of use or so. But an overwhelming majority were positive so I gave it a go. Maybe I've just been lucky with mine.
You could always do an aeropress if you're looking for a single cup coffee maker.

I have had the Keurig Rivo system for a year now. No problems whatsoever with it so far. I prefer this over just a regular Keurig system because I'm not a big fan of plain coffee, but like lattes and cappuccinos and this lets me make those.
There are only 4 choices of coffee for the system, 1 being decaf, and they are pretty good. As good as Nespresso? No. I think the Nespresso is better, but it is also more expensive. My gf got me this one because it was cheaper and easier to get refills.
Also, their customer service is actually really good. One time I had a couple refill boxes shipped to me and one got torn and a couple cups (3 of the 18 cups) fell out so they reshipped a new pack, so that was basically a free box. A month or two ago I ordered a couple refills but go no confirmation of it being shipped after a week. I called them and they re-sent the 2 boxes.. then the original order arrived a few hours later lol. Well, 1 of the 2 boxes was a k-cup, not a rivo cup (can't use k-cups in the rivo machine) so I told them that and they re-sent 2 rivo boxes. So because they never gave me a confirm email about the original shipment of my 2 boxes. I ended up getting 3 more boxes for free lol.
Overall, I like the coffee, but Nespresso is better tasting. But my local coffee joint I go to is best.

Bought the K45, drank 6 cups of coffee yesterday, I like it. I had some gift cards so I spent $1.75 on it, can't complain.
I was walking around Kohls on Saturday and they had somebody doing demos of Nespresso, kinda neat but it just came out like foam cause it spins, I didn't think it's worth the cost at $300 for the machine and I believe she said about $1.15 for each pod. Keurig has way more variety and I've seen the pods anywhere between .50 and .80 each, I used the promo when you register for buy 2 boxes get 2 free so it was about .33 each for the first 100 or so cups.
