Roaches!!

The warm weather has seemed to turn up cockroaches. Every now and then I'll find one or two in my garage. Lately, at night, there have been several on/around the walkway to my garage, on/around the walkway to my front door, and around the front yard in general. This is a bit disturbing as I DO NOT want them ending up inside the house or in any of my belongings in the garage (thankfully I don't have much in the garage). The land lord sprayed something along the front and side yards but they still seem to make an appearance. They're not in the back yard yet, thankfully. I'm a very clean person and there are no water leaks as far as I'm aware of, so I don't think there is much incentive for them to come into the house.

Anyways...what's a good general roach/bug killer (two birds with one stone, perhaps?) that I can spray around the yard, around my garage, and around the perimeter of my house to attempt to get rid of these guys?

Other suggestions are welcome, too.

Thanks!!

Do you have decorative rocks around your home? When we put decorative rocks, around our old home, we got a many cock roaches; many of which that seemed to prefer the rock environment. I would probably get rid of those and replace with (cedar chips?).
Other than that, i know homedepot and lowes sells outdoor insect barries and shields that you can sprinkles/spray around the perimeter of your home. Ill look for a linky when i get home, sorry for the lack of info.
