Ready for the leafs

Just picked up a Stihl BG 85 today at lunchtime. I'm ready to blow, and suck if need be. 183Mph air velocity

Leafs? Like, the hockey team? You're going to blow a hockey team??

Or... do you mean leaves...?

I need one of them blowers... I have trees everywhere... already a bunch of leaves on the ground

I have to do something too since my lawn tractor's tranny shit the bed and I can't use it to pick up leaves any more.

One thing I have found is to not be afraid of hitting them with a mulching mower. Someone gave me a POS Craftsman mower that can mulch and it makes good work of the leaves. We are just starting to get some leaves where I'm at. However, the vast majority of trees haven't turned yet. I'm sure I'll get to the point where the mower can't handle it.

I'm ready. I bought a lawn sweeper last year to deal with the leaves. I pile 'em up in the back corner of my year, mulch 'em up with the tractor, and put them in my compost bins.

don't remind me about them, it so dry here, one part of my yard looks like fall, the other part brown dead grass. i hoping they will just blow next door.

I just use a rake, nothing like a few blisters and allergies galore while spending hours raking leaves and trying to get my dog to jump in them.

I'm gonna encase my entire yard in a giant net so they will just slide to my neighbors yard.

11 year update.

My BG85 failed this year after almost 11 years of trouble free operation. I changed the spark plug and air filter for the first time and it didn't help.
I took it in for service and they replaced the coil, good as new

I use this thing more than any other gas powered tool that I own, still love it.

I love Stihl everything. Once my crappy craftsman blower dies I'll be replacing with a Stihl.

We have Stihl everything except for the backpack blower which is an Echo (got a killer deal through a friend who owns a landscape company, so couldn't pass it up). All have been good but that Stihl equipment has been bulletproof!!

Yes, yes but have you continued to blow the hockey team as Adam thought?
