Pool Wiring Help

Not sure anyone can help here but I have tried to get electricians and pool people to come but they keep no showing. Basically, my pool pump works but my light (just replaced the whole housing because the old one didn't work) and my timer don't work. I think the timer motor is bad because it's getting power so I just ordered a new one but I would like the light to work; here's the mess I have:

Simple Diagram

Disastrous diagram of the wires. I can't find a switch in the house for the pool light so I'm assuming the open box with no cover and capped red wire, was a switch. I know my pic blows but it was harder than I thought....

Disaster, right? I wanted to consolidate to one box but was hoping to go a pro to do that. I have been probing a bit but still unsure what is correct vs incorrect. I have researched and understand more, just can't figure out why the light isn't getting power. I'm going to guess the little box on the bottom left was a switch but I can't figure out how to fix it

How funny is that - we literally ran into the same issue after we moved in.

In our case, it was the light switch in the house that wasn't wired up correctly....

When I went up into the attic, it was a complete disaster.... pool light switch had no power according to the voltage tester.

Consolidated the lose cables into a junction box, ran power to the switch and bingo.

I wouldn't doubt your situation is the same.

In all seriousness though - what the heck is the purpose of an inspection!? Is it a formality for the banks?! I can't begin to tell you the shit we ran into during our renovation... just scary stuff - that was visible / in plain sight!! Let alone, what was behind a couple of walls once we knocked them down.

Scary, scary, scary stuff.

Thank you, my inspection wasn't worth what I paid IMO. I guess they did find the pool heater wasn't working but I could have banged around the house and found that. Pool skimmer line, full of sand, valve wouldn't turn, and no water going through. The light, not such a big deal but the wiring is a disaster. He tested all water, one bath takes almost 10 minutes to warm up and the water pressure is terrible; I piss with more pressure but whatever.

Hope the timer motor helps the timer issue, then on to the pool light with the four day weekend, just hate electric stuff.

Sorry to hear about your issues, you get the house all up and running? Did you consolidate to a large box for the timer, breakers, etc?

Haha, I made it. I went ahead and put a new timer motor in and it worked! So freaking nice to have a timer turn the pump on and off, I never realized how much I needed one.

I spent some time probing around with the meter and found it appeared, not to have power. Come to find out, it appears the power run is switched in the house but after trying all the switches numerous times, none work. I opened them all up, looking for a capped line but nothing so I wired a GFCI switch in by the pool and bam, worked! I really wanted control from the house so I used a Z wave switch that I control from my phone or my wall mounted tablet; time for a color changing LED now

Plan to add a salt water chlorinator and when I do, I'm going to condense all the boxes, timers, switches, transformer, and outlet into one, up to code box.I would buy it now but wife isn't thrilled about me dropping another grand on the pool/house so....

You can see the switch on the end over there, the gray stands out and I hated to add another box but...
