I didn't know they deliver water, we normally fill our pool with the waterhose. It takes about 2.5 days to fill.

Check your phone book or search online for a local contractor and get a quote. They come in with a tractor trailer sized truck and pump it in.

yes..... it's about 250-500 depending on water

our water bill monthly is already higher than that lol

we did all the work (Brother, cousin, me)=

pool house= stained, working shower/bathroom

pool=painted, pretty much cleaned, buying water pump for slide (distroyed over the years)

now this is what happened...........

i was 1 and my parents bought the house. For that summer, the pool was clean and quite nice and all that jazz....... was used alot for the next 2 years
winter came hard and we covered that pool........... never took the cover off lol it was 1992 or 1993
when we drained it, the water was green and we found multiple animales including turtles, fish......etc

does any1 lik a particular system like salt-based clorinators, the baqusil clorine-free systems, or the regular chorline systems??? we havnt decieded yet and we need to.

thanks

A friend of mine's family had a "swamp pool" - really dark water, leaves on the top - you couldn't see anything in there. His little brother comes home from fishing with a sunfish in a bucket and throws it in. Nobody ever saw it again until 3 months later when I caught it with a fishing rod. No joke.

Sweet pool…..

I’m not a fan of Baqusil or any of those newer “environmentally safe” water treatment systems.
My family has had pools since I was like 8-years old and it seems I’ve always been the one maintaining them.
I like to KILL the germs in the water, not have some other organism “eat” or “neutralize” them.
I also feel safer having chlorine in the water if kids are over and you never know what might “accidentally” happen in the water.

I currently have an 18 x 33 FT pool at my house and use the 2” chlorine tablets and the occasional bag of “shock” to keep the water clean.
Never had a problem with algae or other containments in my water.

Many pool manufacturers won’t warranty pool/filter parts if you use Baqusil.
The place I go to has a big sign on the counter stating this.

Winterizing is easy.
Balance the chemicals in the water, buy a winterizing kit that’s properly sized and cover up the pool.
Disconnect the filter and make sure all the water is out of areas that will freeze.
Except for making sure there’s not too much water/debris on the cover, you can pretty much forget about it until spring.

I'm amazed that getting someone to deliver water is cheaper than opening the tap yourself. Where does the supplier get the cheap water from?

No city water here.
I have a well in the back yard and I would have burned it up if I tried to fill our 18,000 gallon pool.
I went with a place called: Aqua Duck and it cost like 400-bucks.
Two 18-Wheeler tankers of 7,000 gallons each and then I topped it off over the next few days with the hose.

How the hell are you 13 and why do you care? I am 21 and have no idea what kind of shit is in my pool, but meh I don't care for that kinda stuff.

As for the fish we have an old fishtank in the backyard with plants growing out of it so a few years ago we drop in 5 gold fish. Now there is one huge one, what he eats? I dunno but that bitch is the size of my cell phone
