Plumbing question?

What's a reasonable price for the following?

Install faucets in kitchen. New countertops so nothing to take out.
Install dishwasher (electrical already done)
Install trash disposal.

I cannot do this DIY. Thanks.

Just the installation? Have you already purchased the equipment?

Couldn't tell you the rates but I would assume installation should be around...

Faucet: 1 hour
Dishwasher: 1.5 hours
Garbage disposal: 1.5 hours

Dishwasher should be easy. Mine just slid into place. They made a couple of connections and that was it. Two guys installed a gas stove and dishwasher for me in under 45min.

The electrical is the easy part. Just the plumbing part I can't figure out.

The plumbing part of the dishwasher is easy provided that your sink is "ready" for a dishwasher. If your sink has the hot water and drain hookup ready to go then its pretty easy. All you need to get is a flexible hose to hook up the dishwasher to the hot water and then just attach the output hose of the dishwasher to the sinks drain. Run a few quick cycles to check for leaks before you slide the unit all the way in the cabinet. You may want to use teflon tape to help secure the connections and prevent leaks.

Hooking up faucets isn't too difficult either if you use flexible hoses.

Make sure the local municipality doesn't frown on disposers hooked to your sink. Some hate that.

If you pay a real plumber to do all of that I would expect at least a $300 bill. I'm sure they get around $100/hr.

Dishwasher install

1 - Banjo valve tapped into the hot water line (above the shutoff valve)
2 - The drain line from the dishwasher will go into the disposal (there is a knockout that you'll need to remove to attach the drain line

The only hose that comes out of the dishwasher is the one that goes under the sink. Is there supposed to be another hose coming out of the dishwasher?

Right now my sink (double sink, see my project thread for pics) has two empty holes so I'd have to buy the drains. And yes I'm a total noob at plumbing.

The hose you see is probably the discharge hose. You will need a flexible hose for the inbound water. You can get them at HD/Lowes and they are specific for dishwashers. The hookup for the inbound water is probably close to the front of the underside of the unit.

Check the install manual for details.

Manual?? This was the old owner's who was an old lady. She tossed it probably.

I guess drains are the holes. I need the piping that goes to the pipes in the wall. Layman's enough.

Haha... Yeah, sometimes you have to buy drains and strainers too. Some sinks come with them, some don't... It's good to ask just to be sure.

I just redid my kitchen sink plumbing 'cause the prior owner had a cobbled together mess that started leaking. After trying to mickey mouse it, I gave up and bought new drains, strainers, and plumbing. Much easier to deal with all new stuff then monkeying around with a mix of new and old.
