Pictures of my remodeling progress
So, the condo is now my residence while the house is going to be a rental. I decided to totally redo the condo so that it fit my lifestyle and really made me look forward to coming home after a long day at work.

Here is the basic layout of the entrance where the blue tape indicates where my 50" plasma will hang. The closet to the right is being converted into a hideaway media room with fake bookshelf put on reverse hinges.

This is why I do not blindly cut into walls I did not put up myself. I found this coaxial line just hanging in the wallspace. That could have easily been nomex. I do have a stud sensor with electrical sensor but I still don't trust it very much.

I cut a channel through the sheetrock and drilled out enough of the studs to fit my cables through. The only cables going this route are the DVI cables & speaker cable. The power will be routed at floor level.

The beginnings of my alarm system with touchpad display from Ademco. I originally put the box here but later moved it to my bedroom. The other one is going behind the downstairs door.

I decided to use a Sanus mount for my TV with a lumber backboard drilled in with stainless steel starset cabinet screws. The Sanus mount is held on by four bolts to the studs. What is nice about the Sanus mount is that you can slide the TV to the left and right if you can't land your mount dead center in your wall.

As you screw down your mount, make sure it stays level!

Here are my DVI cables tunneled into the closet. Dont ask me why I drilled out 2 studs and left one chiseled. If I could do it over i'd chisel all 3.![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)

Interim progress as I put the TV project aside and rip out all baseboard and trim in the room.

The dining room set has arrived!![Woot](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)

Holy hell its getting crowded in here.

Notice the carpet is a 1/4 gone.......... time to ORGANIZE using some cheap shelving courtesy of Target.

The tool and supply shelves! Best idea yet.

Flooring! That's right folks that carpet is ASS. Plasma is temporarily hung to test the studs and placement. Also, football season just started and I could not work another weekend without some plasma love.

1/4 way through the room this shit can be a bitch to hammer in place.

Yours truly working on my floor and yes all of this work has been done in my birkenstocks. So far I only dropped the hammer once on my foot but I refuse to sacrifice comfort for safety!

More floor!

One of the latest pics: The center channel will be hidden in that console table and the Polk surround speakers will be in the walls. Progress is slower than I anticipated but this is a one man project so I am not going to complain.

The floor is 50% down and the dining room should hopefully NOT move again. Note the Hitachi Miter saw that fucking rocks. Other new toys not shown: Dewalt Hammer Drill & Dewalt Cordless 16 Finish Nail Gun
Improvements to come:
Oak trim and baseboard with Vermont maple stain or acrylic dark chestnut.
Bleached almond colored walls with new window treatments
New Chandelier (black and brown) to match the sofas & chairtops.
** Update **
Alarm installed as of last night
