Anyone get their gas bill yet from PSE&G? Did you notice a huge increase in usage - depsite the higher than normal temperatures? A neighbor and I noticed almost double usage between last month and this month - with no significant temp changes or thermostat changes. I believe both bills were actuals - no estimates. Just wondering if there is anyone else....

This happened to us on one of our first gas bill after we moved to NC and it turned out that the bill was wrong (we were billed both estimated and actual for the same month on the same bill!).

I'd give the gas company a call...

 

I noticed a really big bump in mine too. I was gone for a full week in November and my bill was about $75 more than October. Even with the warmer temps and when we left we turned the heat down to about 60.

 

The bill will tell you if its an estimate or not. It will also have the meter reading on it. Compare the bill to what is on your meter. If its too high, call them, they will adjust your bill.
