New (to us) crib!

My wife and I had been going back and forth for a while about moving to a bigger place. We wanted to build but were scared by the time we got to the finishes we'd blow the budget out of the water. We decided to step up the hunt during the winter. We looked for something that didn't need renovating for a while and was relatively new. My main criteria were a 3 car garage and a split floor plan. I have to sleep during the day sometimes and need some separation between myself and the rest of the goings-on in the house. This house fit the bill as the formal living room separates the master suite from the den/kitchen/upstairs area. Not a huge fan of the finishes in the master bath, this will be the first thing to be redone, probably next summer. House is French Country design. 4328 sq ft living 4 br 4.5 bath with media room, exercise room and 2 office areas. We have been living here since early April, still getting settled and more furniture/art to buy.

Love the front doors. All metal and weigh a ton

Walk in the front door, dining on the left, my office on the right

Looking back at the front door

Pics of formal living area

Living room overlooks the pool

This half bath/powder room isn't really our style but it was done to a high level of finish. The sink is a huge wine goblet.

To the left of the formal living is the rest of the living area. The hall in the back of this pic leads to the garage and guest suite.

Breakfast area.

Breakfast/kitchen/den is all open

This is awesome! I've never seen a cover over a pool like that.

And here I thought you might've bought an old barge and renovated it into a house

Awesome house! Love the style too. That keeping room off of the kitchen is nice. You'll likely spend most of your time entertaining there (when you're indoors).

Enjoy!!

Wow really? That's pretty popular here to screen in the pools.

That standard toilet looks silly next to this ^ ridiculous sink.

Might I recommend something a little more "angelic?"

The garage door opens up to the pool area to make a giant pass thru to the garage to the driveway. If I'm having something like a big crawfish boil we can open it all up.

In Fla. everybody has a room like that almost nobody has a screened room here. I wonder why since the climate and bugs are the same.

I can't think of a single covered pool around here. Must not be a demand for 'em

That sounds amazing! Screened-in pools should be just as popular there, makes me wonder why also. Too many bugs. Beautiful home btw!

Great house! Is the pool cover shade cloth or glass or plexiglas? Love it whatever. Probably too much coin for most installs.
