New Toys....

...had the smoker for about 2 weeks now. Already cooked about 10 lbs of boston butt and 10 lbs of ribs in it. Cooking my first brisket tomorrow I love this thing, I had a barrel type electric smoker for a few years till it finally hit the end of it's life. Some of the best $200 i've spent. This thing is TITS, no leaks, holds heat, etc.

I've been w/o a bbq for stupid reasons (it's been sitting there, was just to lazy to replace some parts; it was easier to use my stove grate), so I bought a new one Cooked som rib-eyes tonight...i love this thing

here is the color

I had to get the side burner though

Nice blog, are you driving w/o tags?

Also which model is that grill? I'm finally getting a deck built, I need something.

Looks nice! I've just been doing smoke pouches with my gas grill so far, but next summer I might look into an electric smoker. So far I've been very impressed with results the smoke pouch on the grill technique, but for more adventurous smoking, you really need a dedicated smoker. I wouldn't feel safe leaving the gas on my grill while it's smoking a full brisket for 18 hours. I've only done a couple half briskets which take about 9 hours.
