New Plants

I moved into a new apt a few months ago. I have alot of plants, but there is not much sunlight since i live downstairs which is half underground (i still have windows with sunlight, but some areas are limited).

I have a bunch of plants that have lasted months, but their not looking to good lately.

Does anyone know some pretty plants that do not require much attention (aside from water)? I love having plants in my room, i have about 5-6 various kinds, just looking for some ideas....

Names/pics anything would be useful, i'm a newb when it comes to these things.

TIA

I don't have a lot of experience with plants but I have had one that I have kept in my cube at work for about 9 years now. It's a ficus. I drop about 3/4 cup of water in it's pot about once a week. About every 3 months I drop some coffee grounds in the pot. The coffee grounds act as an organic fertilizer and really helped it a lot.

My ficus looks similar to this but is smaller...

Ask someone at a nursery/greenhouse/garden department. They can quickly steer you towards the right species....

If you just have them in dirt and are watering them, there going to die. The need nutrients, check the local hardware store for some fish poop. No, I'm not joking it's the best thing for indoor plants.

I have bamboos and orchids. Seem to do well with periodic watering weekly. Keep the bamboos out of direct sunlight though. Other option is a cactus. I had one which was very low maintenance but seemed to require a little more sunlight.
