Question New Area Carpet?

I bought a new area carpet for our condo and it came in last night.

Its 8' x 11' and its a momeni metro rug paprika color....www.momeni.com

My question is how much should a new carpet shed?

I have a tiny little shark vaccuum at the moment (will be upgrading soon) and I have filled this with enough freaking carpet fibers to weave another 8' x 11' carpet...and I bet if I went back I keep sucking shit up.

I'm guessing this is normal for a brand new rug...but hell...I dont know.

Depending on type of rug it is normal.

I have year or two old wool carpets that still shed like a mofo. Looks like I have a cat on steroids... Probably will not be buying wool or shag again as replacements...
