Man, I hadn't checked back in like a month, definitely a LOT of progress, can't wait to see the rest finished, such an awesome remodel

Stopped by a short time ago to check on things, they've got the all the stuff off the floors, in preparation to finish the floors i presume. They are finishing the pergola and starting on the gutters as well. Snapped some pictures of the kitchen though.
Some adjustments still need to be made to the hinges on the cabinets which is why some look like they dont close correctly (because they dont!)
Looking from the hallway:
From the corner of the living room:
From the doorway leading into the formal living/dining room:
No more door from the dining room to the kitchen:
From the kitchen:
Looking towards the living room:
Pantry doors on the left, bar area to the right:
Where the SubZero will go:
Thats all for now!

Wow it is coming along great. Can't wait to see the granite in.

Granite is going in!
This is where the stove top will go (they still have to cut a hole for it):
Island:
Bar:
Bar:
Undermount sink:
New pergola, they are going to add slats in between to make the gaps smaller... that way it will provide more shade:
Hole cut for the sink:
View of the granite in natural light:
granite countertop flows into the appliance garage:
Marble island:
And the house as it sits now, paint is done, gutters are up, roof is on, and the azaleas have bloomed:

OMG this is nice! Will the granite require an annual sealing? BTW doesn't the same go for the marble? And isn't it easy to break marble?
BTW I like how the flat top for the stove is granite too. Can't wait till they cut the holes and see the finish product. This is a great reno!

Yea, the marble is a bit harder to take care of... (it can stain easily) but since its not the primary prep space it shouldn't be an issue.
Thanks! Thats my mother's doing.
Ill have some pictures up in a bit of the finished pergola

That palm tree in the back yard needs to go. It's so odd looking.

Some more progress:
New disposal: (blurry picture, sorry)
Sink and faucet are in:
Paint on all the trim:
They started staining the pergola, but it started to sprinkle so they had to stop:
And our leftover marble (there is one behind there too) Im not sure what we are going to do with it all, but some will go towards replacing the granite in the hall bath im sure:
The electricians came as i was leaving and they are installing all the lights throughout the kitchen and formal living room. Ill get some pictures of that soon!

Lighting is in: (for the most part)
All the lights are on in these photos, but there are different sections; one for the pathway though the living room, one for the living room, one for the kitchen, task lighting in the kitchen, and one above where a chair goes in the living room for reading. So if it looks like a lot, its because it is!

Wow, that is a TON of lighting. I really love the way the sink looks in the granite, this kitchen is going to be amazing when it's done

I really like all of that lighting. BTW the exterior walls (last few pics of the outdoor lightning) with the wooden-shingles, what are they called. I've heard it before but I just call them wooden-shingles. That's the best I can word it right now. Thinking of a better way to say what im trying to ask. Anywho, great reno and cant wait to see the subzero fridge in place.
