I'm really afraid to ask what your "bubb" is.

If you are talking about a toilet then move to H&G
If you are talking about your ass, then move to D&R

Whatever it is, give it a good scrubbing with some sandpaper, to really work the dirt out. Then, finish by rubbing it with a mixture of salt and lemon juice to sterilize the area and kill any bacteria.

It's best left uncleaned. Everyone knows that.

lol at the move to H&G

One method that works but really stinks your place up is boiling it for a few minutes.

if it's glass, i don't advise boiling it, although it will get all the resin right off.. but you run the risk of busting the glass, and that's no good
my most successful method is rubbing alcohol and table salt.
first, soak the piece in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water to loosen things up.
then fill the piece up with rubbing alcohol.. make sure you plug up the holes.
let it soak for a few minutes, then pour in a generous amount of salt (as an abrasive)
shake it up really really well...
shake some more.
eventually, that should take care of most of it.
rinse well with hot water.
on my bigger pieces, i use hookah brushes along with this method.
works like a charm.
i've used a few pieces for a while, used this method to clean them out, and then sold them as new and they basically were.

bubblers tend to look more like pipes too, although i have a few bubblers that look just like mini bongs.
of course, there are so many different styles and variations to bongs, bubblers, pipes, etc. that this is not a completely accurate description, but it should give you a good general idea.

EX:

"hammer" bubbler:
notice the stem coming down into the basin, which is where the water sits.. the smoke gets pulled through the water and pretty much straight to your mouth.. you see and hear very small bubbles, but as you can see, there isn't much room for smoke to gather.

"bubble bottom" bong:

you can see there is a lot more room for water, and a lot more room for smoke to collect. this allows you to pack the chamber full of smoke, and then pull the slide, and inhale it all in one big hit.
the bubbling is usually much louder and obvious, and is what you usually hear in songs.. the bubbler gives a much quieter, whimpier bubbling sound.
