Kitchen update pics

I'm almost finished my kitchen make over. New cabinets, floor tiles, counter tops, sink, lighting. The cabinets that were in there were original to the house - almost 40 years old. The oven was originally on the opposite wall, I moved the gas line from one side to the other. Also, I moved the dishwasher from one side of the sink to the other. It's a way better lay out. Next I'm putting in undercounter lights and I have to put on one more coat of stain on the cabinets. I also need a kitchen table. I did this all on the cheap - probably spent $4K total for the entire redo and I did all the work myself. Thought I'd share.

Looks very nice. It is amazing how much can be saved if people do stuff DIY, and if you have the know how it can also be done better. Are those floor tiles real (if so be careful not to drop stuff)?

very nice job, there's definitely much personal appreciation from DIY... how old are the appliances? black/stainless would look sweet in there

You are correct, sir.

Like I said above, I did this all on the cheap. I'm upgrading the house to sell it next year (I hope the market doesn't tank anymore than it has). I bought unfinished cabinets and the counter top is laminate - but it looks amazing in person. It will really show well when I sell this place.

Heres a different view:

The before picture reminds me of a gloomy basement kitchen. The after is a whole lot better. The yellow brings out the brightness and size of the kitchen. Very nice work!

I did it over 6 weekends. I broke the work up into parts so I could finish at the end of each day that I worked with a functional kitchen. There was a lot less stress doing it that way. I can't imagine living without a working kitchen during a remodel.

damn, looks good! Hey, your corner cabinet, is that the one with the lazy susan? How did you install that thing? It's round in the back right?

Nice choice of color too.

Yes that's a lazy susan cabinet in the corner. It sits out from the wall so it took some measuring to get it in there just right. To mount it I had to cut wood blocks to attach it to the wall.
