Probably tin. I grew up sleeping a few inches from a tin roof (top bunk) and I now like noise when I sleep, like a fan or something running, but it's not required. Maybe it's why I can sleep so good anywhere...

I hear of a lot of people putting tin roofs on custom houses around here
